Construction products can be used in a variety of ways and must meet different requirements. Because of this, the Navigator does not contain certifications for construction products, but rather well-structured information on products and their attributes. This transparency gives planners and architects a basis for choosing the right products for their needs. As a rule, the DGNB only certifies buildings and city districts – and just the overall performance, not the individual materials used.
Yes, this is possible. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide verified and specific data relating to products’ environmental impacts. It is possible to make use of average or standardised data drawn from the free ökobau.dat database if no EPD is available. Manufacturers’ calculations can also be used, provided they comply with the requirements for Environmental Product Declarations.
As a manufacturer with a published product profile, you can present your logo on the animated logo banner on our DGNB Navigator homepage free of charge. Due to a sequential update, there may be a short delay between the product activation and the update of the scroller. If your logo does not appear on the scroller within four weeks after the product activation, please contact our Navigator costumer service (Phone: +49 (0)711 722322-11 or E-Mail: firstname.lastname@example.org).
To use all functions and benefits of the DGNB Navigator online platform a registration is required. Registration and use is free of charge to DGNB Auditors, architects, designers and any other interested parties. A fee is only raised for subscribing a product to DGNB Navigator. Please find detailed information in the terms and conditions for users and manufacturers.
